Queering the landscape
I have used drawing as a space of transformation and appropriation, a representation of the landscape as desire and queer use in contraposition with patriarchal depictions of it.
I like the idea of drawing in a quick, sketchy way and of considering my drawings not only as representational, but also as matter and even vibration. This connects to the idea of queerness as energy, but they also question the use of nature, challenging heteronormative ideas of behaving, living and using natural settings.
Graphite and water, watercolour.
