Queer Rocks

I collect rocks and pebbles from my walks, clean and paint them, transforming them into alien, camp, unnatural objects and then I take them back to nature, to the forest or along the ancient Icknield Way, in order to queer the space around them and in doing so, to queer nature itself.

This is an on-going project, part of my PhD research.

I use maps to mark where I left my rocks...

With time, they will fade away because of the rain and mud, or they might be picked up by somebody and have a new life somewhere else, or they might outrage some passer-by for polluting the English countryside with their garishness...
